Diamonds are remarkably durable, resist scratches (except for other diamonds) and retain their luster for a long time. However, diamonds are not indestructible. They can be broken off by a sharp blow, become loose or lost in a weakened environment, or damaged by contact with other diamonds. Wear diamond jewelry carefully. Store it in padded boxes or soft pouches, separate from other jewelry. Clean your jewelry by wiping it with a lint-free cloth or with warm water, mild soap and a soft toothbrush, or by briefly dipping it in a commercial cleaning solution.
